Austin Local Business Thrives On In Spite Of Regulations
Bobalu Cigar Co.’s business has doubled in past three years.

Despite the economic downturn and a growing list of regulations on smokers, Bobalu Cigar Co. has not only survived, but is thriving! In fact, the business has doubled over the past three years.
How does a Cigar Manufacturer increase numbers in what seems to be a hostile environment for such a business? For one thing, “You just can’t find a legal Cuban hand-rolled, factory fresh cigar like ours anywhere else,” beams Jeff Lipton, Bobalu Cigar Co. Owner. Secondly, Lipton credits his company’s recent boom in business to his embrace of technology.
Bobalu’s original retail location is on the famed Sixth Street District and in early September, 2014, Bobalu will open it’s second location in North Austin. The new store is located at 8501 Burnet Rd in Austin between 183 and Anderson Lane. Grand Opening Celebrations are planned for the weekend starting Friday, September 12th.
